# Ibero-America-Spain Technology Forum - 2026 > Technology forum on digital agritech and smart irrigation to boost agri-food innovation between Spain and Latin America. --- ## About The **Ibero-America-Spain Technology Forum on Digital Agritech and Smart Irrigation** will be held from **21 to 23 September 2026** as a prelude to the XII Ibero-American Ministerial Conference on Agriculture and Fisheries. The gathering will bring together companies and experts from Spain and Latin America to promote **knowledge exchange and the digital transformation of the agri-food sector**. The forum will focus on technology as a driver of innovation, addressing the Spanish model of agricultural modernization, cooperation between Spain and Latin America and the dissemination of advanced solutions in **smart irrigation, precision agriculture and digital livestock farming**. The first two days will follow a congress and trade-fair format at **La Vega Innova**, the Digital Innovation Centre of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, near central Madrid, while the third day will be devoted to **field visits**. Meat industry. 17:00 #### End of day ## Terms of participation **Terms of participation for guests from outside Spain attending the Ibero-America–Spain Technology Forum, 21–23 September.** The event is free of charge and requires pre-registration and validation by the organizers, with no entry fee of any kind. Once admission is validated, an official letter of invitation will be provided. The Forum and the field visits will be held in Spanish, with translation and interpretation services for English-speaking participants. Participants certify that they meet the requirements to travel to Spain, which in general are: - A valid passport with sufficient validity, normally at least three additional months beyond the date of arrival in Spain. - A return flight ticket. - Travel health insurance, where required. - A short-stay Schengen visa, only if the traveller's nationality requires it (for example Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, India and the Philippines). All participants are encouraged to create a profile in an app or website set up for the event, making it easier to present themselves and arrange bilateral business-to-business (B2B) meetings. **Broad coverage of expenses:** - Accommodation in Madrid from Sunday 20 to Thursday 24 September in a centrally located three-star hotel (Atocha area) with breakfast included. - Meals during the congress and field visits (dinners on 22 and 23 September not included). - Transport within Spain from the hotel to the Forum (La Vega Innova, the Digital Innovation Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in San Fernando de Henares) and for the field visits in Almería and Lleida. The transfer from Madrid airport to the hotel on arrival, and to the airport for the return flight, are not included. Participants book and pay for their own economy-class flight ticket, which will be reimbursed upon submission of the invoice and boarding pass. - Visa costs that may apply to nationals of certain countries will be neither arranged nor reimbursed, nor will health insurance.
